An earthquake measuring 6.5 Richter struck off the east coast of Japan on Monday morning, sparking a local tsunami warning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake occurred at around 07:23 local time Monday (22:23 GMT Sunday), at a depth of 5.9 kilometers. The quake's epicenter was about 161 km east-northeast of Fukushima, Honshu, and 368 km northeast of Tokyo.
No further information Information on damage or casualties.
But the local Meteorological Agency has issued warnings possibility of a small tsunami waves. The wave was estimated that only about 50 cm.
